1.01: Can I pre-load a downloadable game purchase? (Back to Top)

Yes, prior to a full version digital game's release it can be purchased and pre-loaded. On launch day pre-load customers will be able to activate their purchase and begin playing immediately.

1.02: Do I get physical media with my purchase of a downloadable game? (Back to Top)

No, full version digital games are available as a download only. After download you are free to back up your game on suitable media. If you need to re-download your purchase you can do so by logging into the BioWare Store and accessing the "Downloads" section.

1.03: Can I return a purchased downloadable game? (Back to Top)

At its discretion, BioWare shall provide refunds for unused digital products purchased at The Store. This policy does not extend to gift certificates/codes for digital products. Except as specifically provided in the license, BioWare does not accept refunds or returns on used digital products purchased at The Store in whole or in part for any reason including, without limitation, interruption or unavailability of any or all of BioWare's Internet Services. You are liable for all charges posted to your credit card account. As the customer you must:

  • Ensure that you meet the software requirements for Digital Products licensed from the Store, including but not limited to owning any related products, etc.
  • Ensure that you meet the computer requirements for Digital Products, including but not limited to video cards, drivers, operating systems, etc.
  • Ensure that you have access to an Live Internet Connection if required by the product.

1.04: Is my full version downloadable game purchase associated with a specific BioWare Community Account? (Back to Top)

Yes, your purchase of a digital game is associated with the account you were logged in with when you completed the transaction at the BioWare Online Store. If you are logged in using an account other than the one you made the purchase with you will not be able to access your purchase.

1.05: Do I need to authenticate my downloadable game purchase every time I play? (Back to Top)

No, your downloadable game purchase only needs to be activated once per installation.

1.06: Why do I need to authenticate my digital game purchase during the installation process? (Back to Top)

Your digital full version game must be authenticated during the installation process to download final, secure game content and to verify ownership.

1.07: What firewall ports does my digital game purchase use for authentication? (Back to Top)

Full digital game purchases make use of "https" for the authentication process. If you were able to sucessfully purchase the digital game at the BioWare Online Store, there should be nothing stopping you from being able to authenticate the game during the installation process.

1.08: How many times can I install my digital game purchase? (Back to Top)

A full version digital game can be installed up to three times. If you have exceeded this limit please contact support with your account name and the reason the limit was exceeded.

A full version digital game can be installed on two different computers. If you have exceeded this limit please please contact support with your account name and the reason the limit was exceeded.
