1.01: I received the message "You are not authorized to play this product purchased from the BioWare Store. If you feel this message is in error, please see http://support.bioware.com/ for more information" (Back to Top)

1.02: I received the message "Error 110623 - Authentication of this digital product has failed. You will now be taken to the demo section of this module. If you feel this message is in error, please see http://support.bioware.com/ for more information." (Back to Top)

You may receive this message if you have not paid for this digital product. A message box will appear indicating that the demo version of the module is going to be loaded instead. The demo version contains basic information regarding modules that can be purchased from the BioWare Online Store.

OR

The master server has rejected you and is saying that that you don't own the digital product. If you have purchased the module and would like to verify your ownership please follow these instructions:
How do I verify which of my CD-keys a purchased module is associated with?

1.03: I received the message "Saving is disabled while playing this demo." (Back to Top)

You cannot save the game when you are playing the demo of a module that can be purchased at the BioWare Online Store.

1.04: I received the message "You do not own the module running on the server that you are attempting to connect to. You must have this module installed in order to play. If you feel this message is in error, please see http://support.bioware.com/ for more information." (Back to Top)

This message appears if you are trying to connect to a BioWare Online Store module in multiplayer and you don't have the module installed on your PC.

1.05: I received the message "Please wait while we authenticate your ownership of this module. This may take a few minutes." (Back to Top)

This is the authentication message box that appears when trying to load a saved game from a module purchased at the BioWare Online Store.

1.06: I received the message "Could not load the module. Module file might be corrupt OR an error occurred authenticating ownership of this BioWare Online Store module." (Back to Top)

Failed to decrypt the module for some reason or the you do not own the module. Please download the module again, and check your firewall or Router settings.

It is also possible that you will receive this message if you’ve made changes to “hak” or “nwm” default folder locations in the [Alias] section of your \\NeverwinterNights\nwn\nwn.ini file. The Premium module installer installs all .hak and .nwm files to the default directories and does not take the contents of your [Alias] section into account. If you receive the above error please ensure that modules .hak files and .nwm files are installed to the directories your [Alias] folder is pointing to.

If you are unsure as to which of your CD-keys a particular module is associated with please follow these instructions:
How do I verify which of my CD-keys a purchased module is associated with?

1.07: Can I play a premium BioWare Neverwinter Nights module on a dedicated server? (Back to Top)

Premium Neverwinter Nights Modules require a CD-key on the hosting system for authentication. The dedicated servers DO NOT have a CD-key at all so the module will not be able to authenticate. You can only play a Premium Neverwinter Nights Module on a normal "host a game" server.

1.08: I received the message: "Could not load Module file might be corrupt or it was created using a newer version of the toolset and/or game resources." (Back to Top)

Usually this error is thrown when you are attempting to play the modules using an older version of the game. Download the latest patch using either the in game updater or via the Critical Rebuilds. http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html

If that doesn't help it is possible the game was damaged during the download process due to an intermittent or unstable connection. If this occurrence is common, making use of a download manager like "Get Right" is an excellent option as it allows you to resume a dropped download.
