1.01: Kingmaker/ShadowGuard - Why do Kingmaker and ShadowGuard crash or behave abnormally in multiplayer? (Back to Top)

These modules are single player only and are not intended to be played in multiplayer.

1.02: Recommended multiplayer server settings for "Neverwinter Nights - Witch's Wake" : (Back to Top)

Item Level Restrictions = Off If this setting is enabled, players will be unable to equip their subrace hides and will instead have them appear in their inventory.

Single Party Only = Off If this setting is enabled multiple portraits for player characters may appear in the party bar, causing some confusion. We hope to address this issue in patch 1.65

1.03: Can I play a premium BioWare Neverwinter Nights module on a dedicated server? (Back to Top)

Premium Neverwinter Nights Modules require a CD-key on the hosting system for authentication. The dedicated servers DO NOT have a CD-key at all so the module will not be able to authenticate. You can only play a Premium Neverwinter Nights Module on a normal "host a game" server.

1.04: Will my saved games be compatible between different versions of Premium Neverwinter Nights Modules? (Back to Top)

We do not guarantee saved games to be compatible between different versions of Premium Neverwinter Nights modules.

1.05: Pirates of the Sword Coast (Multiplayer) - ERROR "No supported waypoints for treasure map system". (Back to Top)

During a multiplayer game when the player is in the "Spindrift" game area and does the following: 1. Places a treasure map in their inventory 2. Does not start using the map 3. Saves the character in the local vault 4. Leaves the game 5. Rejoins the game using the “Char. List” character 6. Attempts to use the map to find the treasure The user will receive the message “No supporting waypoints for treasure map system.” The only known work around for this issue would be to play through the game with the same character version. Please avoid swapping out your character with a different version.

1.06: Kingmaker – Cannot move after cutscene. (Back to Top)

If after a cutscene you find that your character is unable to move or otherwise act try the following:

  • Press the “~” key
  • Type: DebugMode 1
  • Press the “Enter” key
  • Press the “~” key
  • Type: “dm_heal”
  • Press the “Enter” key
  • Type: “DebugMode 0”
  • Press the “Enter” key

1.07: Kingmaker – Unable to complete the gobin quest. (Back to Top)

Try the following if you have the goblin Chief’s head in your inventory but Sarah Blackhand doesn’t recognize that you’ve completed the quest.

  • Press the “~” key
  • Type: DebugMode 1
  • Press the “Enter” key
  • Press the “~” key

  • Press the “~” key
  • Type: DebugMode 1
  • Press the “Enter” key
  • Press the “~” key
  • Type: runscript act_ali_tovote

  • Type: DebugMode 0
  • Press the “Enter” key

1.09: Pirates of the Sword Coast – During the "Extreme Pirate Makeover" quest Willigan accepts quest items but quest not marked as complete. (Back to Top)

The best solution to this issue would be to spawn in the items via the console and give them to Willigan all at once. This should properly trigger the resolution of this encounter and allow you to progress.

Use the following console commands to create the items you need to progress. The commands are case sensitive.

  • Pressthe ~ key to bring down the console.
  • Type the following without the "quotes"
  • "DebugMode 1"
  • Press Enter to activate the Debug mode.
  • Now press the ~ key again to bring down the console and type the following without "quotes".
    • “dm_spawn item a2_wwgarb"
  • Press Enter to activate the command
  • Repeat the process for each of the other items.
    • dm_spawn item a2_wwcutless
    • dm_spawn item a2_wwboots

Once your character has all three items you should be able to give them to Willigan and progress in the adventure.

1.10: Wyvern Crown of Cormyr - Does "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" support multiplayer? (Back to Top)

No, "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" does not support multiplayer in any functional capacity.

1.11: Wyvern Crown of Cormyr - Why is there lag or freezing while jousting in "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" on a minimum specification machine? (Back to Top)

The system requirements for Wyvern Crown are higher than other modules, players experiencing lag or freezing during jousting while playing on a minimum specification machine may need to reduce their graphics settings.

1.12: Wyvern Crown of Cormyr - Why shouldn't I take plot items from one instance of "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" into another? (Back to Top)

Taking plot items from one instance of "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" into another may result in the player not being able to complete certain quests.

1.13: Wyvern Crown of Cormyr - Why shouldn't I replay "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" using the final exported version of a character that has already completed it? (Back to Top)

Users cannot replay "Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" using a character that has already completed it. Doing this will break the main plot of the module, and as a result they will not be able to complete it. When a character completes the game they are automatically exported, this exported character version will not be able to complete the game for a second time.

1.14: Infinite Dungeons - Long load times (or timeouts) for saved games. (Back to Top)

Add/changing the following setting in your nwnplayer.ini file under the [Server Options] section:

Player Connection Timeout=60

The number (60 is the default) is the number of seconds the client will wait before timing out. If you add the above setting and increase the number to something larger like 240 (i.e. 4 minutes), then the client should remain connected for that long before timing out.

Note: In multiplayer this needs to be done for EVERY client trying to connect to the server as well as the server machine itself. This should allow you to load larger saved games in multiplayer as well.
