1.01: Why do I need a BioWare Community Account? (Back to Top)
To purchase premium Neverwinter Nights modules we require a working valid email address, an account name and confirmation that your Neverwinter Nights CD-key has been registered with your BioWare Community Account. To purchase Gift Codes (read more about Gift Codes) through BioWare's online store we require a working, valid email address and BioWare Community Account name.

Go to: http://accounts.bioware.com/signup/
Click "Sign Up".
You will taken through a few short steps to create an account to allow you to make a purchase at the BioWare Online Store.

1.04: I forgot my BioWare Community login or password how to I retrieve it? (Back to Top)
Go to the Password/Login Retrieval page : http://nwn.bioware.com/login/retrieve.html
Enter your e-mail address and either your password or username, and the required information will be sent to you.
1.05: How do I verify which of my CD-keys a purchased module is associated with? (Back to Top)
When you purchase a module the CD-key that the module has been associated with will be included on your receipt. This information is not sent via e-mail after the purchase. You must visit the site and view your invoice over a secure connection.
Login to your BioWare Community account.
Click "Edit Account" then "My Account".
Under "BioWare Store" click "My Purchases and receipts"
A listing of your receipts will appear. To view a specific receipt click "View Receipt".
On your receipt the CD-key(s) a module is registered to will be displayed below that module.
Ensure the CD-key the module is registered to matches the one you are attempting to play it with.
1.06: How do I view or change the CD-Key(s) my install of Neverwinter Nights uses? (Back to Top)
Navigate to the install directory for Neverwinter Nights, this is usually: "/Neverwinter Nights/NWN/ "
You will need to locate a file named "nwncdkey.ini". Right click on this file and then choose "Open With.."
A dialogue box named "Open With" will appear. Select the program "Notepad" from the list and click "Ok".
The dialogue box will disappear and the file "nwncdkey.ini" will be displayed in Notepad.
CD-Keys for the installed games will be displayed below the heading "[CDKEY]".
Key1 is for the original "Neverwinter Nights".
Key2 is for "Shadows of Undrentide".
Key3 is for "Hordes of the Underdark".
Replace the old key to the right of the equals sign with the new one you wish to use.
To save your changes click "File", "Save" and then close the file by clicking the red "X" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
1.07: I made purchases at the BioWare Online Store under two different accounts. Can I combine them? (Back to Top)
At this time there are no provisions in place to allow for the amalgamation of purchases made under two different accounts. Please retain your login information for both accounts should you need to access your purchases at a later date.
1.08: My BioWare Community account activation code isn't working. (Back to Top)
Most likely you are getting an activation error because you have had a newer activation email/code issued and are trying to activate your account using the old one. When a new code is issued the old one is invalidated.
Follow these instructions to resend the activation code:
Step one:
Log into the community site with your Username/Password
Step two:
Click on "My Messages"
You will now be sent to a page called "Account Not activated"
Step three:
Click the hyperlink to go to the page titled "Resend Activation email"
Step four:
Verify your email address. Type ANY address that you can receive email from and your activation email will be sent there. Ensure that your spam filter will accept emails from accounts@bioware.com
